Today many people around the globe experience political domination, terror, and persecution. God the Father gives sovereignty to Christ the King to empower the oppressed and pursue just rule on earth as we anticipate in heaven.<\/p>\n<p>Our focus is on the Lord as Creator and Sustainer of that Creation. Ps. 93:1. Although this big picture is not always visible to our mind&#8217;s eye as we meet and deal with life&#8217;s challenges, we turn our attention to this belief on Christ is King Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>In Revelations we turn our attention to the timeless glory of God, the faithful ministry of Jesus Christ, the benefits of our salvation, our hope in Christ\u2019s glorious return, the fate of those who reject Christ, and God\u2019s rule over every earthly dominion. Theologian Rev. Dr. Greg Carey.<\/p>\n<p>Jesus intentionally evades a direct answer to Pilate&#8217;s question regarding kingship. Pilate is exploiting the unfortunate dilemma that is facing Christ right now. Jesus knows that Pilate is using the moment to disturb the stability of Jewish political society. John 18:36.<\/p>\n<p>Reign of Christ is King Celebration Scripture:<\/p>\n<p>His dominion is an everlasting dominion that shall not pass away, and his kingship is one that shall never be destroyed.
