Today, Matthew brings us awareness of the responsibilities of discipleship with community focus. We are accountable and responsible for one another for the sake of the community. Pursuing success in righteousness as a disciple of Jesus Christ may intersect with and challenge perceived social earthly material success, but this is to be expected. Deut. 30:16.<br \/>\nHappy are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord. Ps. 119:1.<br \/>\nFor we are God&#8217;s servants, working together; you are God&#8217;s field, God&#8217;s building. 1 Cor. 3:9.<br \/>\nSo when you are offering your gift at the altar, if you remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother or sister, and then come and offer your gift. Matt. 5:23-4.<\/p>\n<p>Prayer: Dear Lord God, you spoke your word and revealed your good news in Jesus, the Christ.<br \/>\nFill all creation with that word again, so that by proclaiming your joyful promises to all nations<br \/>\nand singing of your glorious hope to all peoples,<br \/>\nwe may become one living body, your incarnate presence on the earth.
