{"id":3578,"date":"2025-01-07T07:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-01-07T13:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.peacelcmc.org\/?p=3578"},"modified":"2025-01-08T18:43:30","modified_gmt":"2025-01-09T00:43:30","slug":"three-days-of-prayer-lcmc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.peacelcmc.org\/?p=3578","title":{"rendered":"Three Days of Prayer LCMC"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ LCMC <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Martin Luther said in his book, <\/span><span class=\"s2\">A Simple Way to Pray<\/span><span class=\"s1\">: <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cWe must see to it that we do not lose the habit of prayer and deceive ourselves into thinking that other kinds of things are more important, when they are not.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">I would like to invite our over 1,000 congregations in 18 countries around the globe to join us for LCMC\u2019s annual <\/span><span class=\"s3\">Three Days of Prayer<\/span><span class=\"s1\"> on <\/span><span class=\"s3\">January 7-9, 2025<\/span><span class=\"s1\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">As we gather together as one association on those days let us:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Pray for our families.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Pray for our churches.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Pray for our leaders and members.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Pray for those who do not yet know Jesus as Savior and Lord. \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Our Congregations and Leaders <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Lord, we pray that You bless our congregations and leaders<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">with Your favor and with Your provision and power to carry<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">out the ministry and mission You have in store for us. In Jesus\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">name, we pray. Amen. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">For those who do not yet know Jesus as Savior and Lord <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Lord, give us Your heart for those who don\u2019t yet know you as<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Savior and Lord, and for the prodigals. Create in us a boldness<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">to love them and serve them and to share our God-stories with<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">them as opportunities arise. Open our eyes to be aware of<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">everyday encounters in which we can minister Your love and<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Your power to those in need. In Jesus\u2019 name we pray. Amen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">For our international partners <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Thank You, Lord, that You have bound us together with these<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">sister churches and leaders and partner networks. We pray<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">that You will give them protection and provision. We pray that<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">You will show us how we can come alongside them, encourage<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">them, and serve with them. Lord, grant our brothers and sisters<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Your favor in their cities, communities, and countries. We pray<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">this in Jesus\u2019 name.
