Matthew proclaims his brother in Christ Paul fears the deep lake when he takes his eyes off Jesus and Jesus reaches out to save him.
In Kings, Jeremiah speaks to us of God calling upon Elijah to message His people that He will save the believers.
David in Psalms glorifies God trusting in Him for salvation.
Paul to Romans and us, a letter to inspire evangelism in believers.

Prayer:
Eternal God, you are present with us throughout our lives, even when others plot to do us harm.

Prayer Intentions:
Friends in Christ,
God invites us to hold the needs of our sisters and brothers as dear to us as our own needs.

Confession
The Apostle John proclaims, If we confess our sins He who is faithful and just will forgive our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9.

Most merciful God, we confess that we are by nature sinful and unclean. We have sinned against You in thought, word and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved You with our whole heart. We have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. For the sake of Your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us, and lead us so that we may delight in Your will and walk in Your ways to the glory of Your holy name. Amen.
