This is a very engaging activity! Spirit of Peace Ministers enjoy engaging the Missional Community! Valley Days can be challenging but satisfying. We took on all interested people, numbering well over one hundred, over the afternoon hours. We served a lunch of Crafted Angus and Sirloin quarter pound burgers, Natural Bratwurst sausages, Quarter pound beef hot dogs, homemade cabbage and carrot slaw and Southern style potato salad, Fresh garden mint sun tea; and
Ta-Da! well over one hundred vanilla, chocolate, chocolate chip sundaes with various fresh fruit, nut and other toppings! were served.
There was concurrent Rocket Design, Build and Launch going on. People of all ages chose the color of their pre-rolled rocket fuselage, rolled their own, selected personal creative colors and designs for fins and nose cones. Over one hundred personalized rockets were designed, built and launched; with many great performers flying over the fence!
Fellowship is our strong suit. We enjoy community engagement! Our volunteers are caring and concerned. We appreciate everyone who stopped by to engage or observe! We look forward to visiting again!
Bats are God’s creatures sent to us in order to assist in maintaining a safe environment with fewer disease carrying mosquitoes. One bat feeds on many mosquitoes in one night. During our waking daylight hours, bats need a restful, comfortable, safe home for rest and relaxation. We will Design, Build and Launch this Project!

As we come together at this special time, let us pause a moment to appreciate the opportunity for good company and to thank all those past and present whose efforts have made this event possible.
We reap the fruits of our society, our country, and our civilization, and take joy in the bounties of nature on this happy occasion.
Let us also wish that, some day, all people on Earth may enjoy the same good fortune that we share.
I arise today Through the strength of heaven; Light of the sun, Splendor of fire, Speed of lightning, Swiftness of the wind, Depth of the sea, Stability of the earth, Firmness of the rock. I arise today Through God's strength to pilot me; God's might to uphold me, God's wisdom to guide me, God's eye to look before me, God's ear to hear me, God's word to speak for me, God's hand to guard me, God's way to lie before me, God's shield to protect me, God's hosts to save me Afar and anear, Alone or in a multitude. Christ shield me today Against wounding Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ on my right, Christ on my left, Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down, Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me, Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me, Christ in the eye that sees me, Christ in the ear that hears me. I arise today Through the mighty strength Of the Lord of creation. - Anonymous.
Message
Saint Patrick
Today we all remember Patrick, Missionary to Ireland
Patrick is one of the best-known of the missionary saints. Born to a Christian family in Britain around the year 389, he was captured as a teenager by raiders, taken to Ireland, and forced to serve as a herdsman. After six years he escaped and found his way to a monastery community in France. Ordained a bishop in 432, he made his way back to Ireland, where he spent the rest of his long life spreading the Gospel and organizing Christian communities. He strongly defended the doctrine of the Holy Trinity in a time when it was not popular to do so. His literary legacy includes his autobiography, Confession, and several prayers and hymns still used in the church today. Patrick died around the year 466.
There are times when God calls upon each of us to be attentive to the needs of our brothers and sisters, all people, with special concerns, in the Missional Community. It is our responsibility to engage and follow the call.

Be festive with Green:
Add more dark greens to your salad, such as baby kale, spinach, romaine and green leaf lettuce, green peppers, cucumbers, etc.
Be inspired to Go Green with your side dishes. Try Brussels sprouts, broccoli, edamame or green beans.
Pistachios and pepitas. Sprinkle on entrees, side dishes and salads.
Green tea is a good way to warm up and get antioxidants at the same time.
Sweeten up that fruit salad with kiwi and green grapes
Spinach. Add to your fruit smoothie to add extra fiber and iron.

Dinner and a Movie at the Theater
“MMM”s: movie meet-ups, meals and mingling are a great way to enjoy the passing of time, energize our spirits and enjoy life.

There has to be more to more to life than just my work and duties. I am a responsible person and most of the time I feel very guilty for wanting to step back and actually enjoy the pleasures of life. So, to avoid this guilt, I do not choose activities that incite this guilt. Doing this has made me very stressed and unhappy.
I have such a hard time finding that proper balance. I need your wisdom and discernment of what to say: “No.” to so I will have more time for things I need to say: “Yes!” to.
Can you open my eyes to see what I am missing and how I need to fill in those areas? Please show me what I need to omit from my schedule, too.
Help me to relax and really enjoy my downtime. And in this relaxed state, I want to hear your still and quiet voice. I have noticed that when things are crazy and hectic, I can not hear your voice.
I can also see that in this busy-ness, I am losing my ground because I am not connecting with you like I should be.
Lord, I love you and you are all that I need. Help me to depend on you more and myself less.
When my life is over, I do not want to have any regrets that I did not spend time with the people who mattered most, especially YOU. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.” – Julia Shalom Jordan. Shalom be with You. May 21, 2013.

Exercise
Light Exercise Following a Meal Has Tremendous Impact on Triglyceride Levels.
Many studies have demonstrated that the timing of meals and exercise is important for glycogen loading, muscle building and improved nutrient uptake and utilization by the body. These studies have shown that even a single bout of exercise can change the body’s hormonal response that in turn positively affects nutrient metabolism in skeletal muscle, liver and even adipose (fat) tissue.

Closing Prayer
Lord, help me to create a balanced life.
Help me to take time to enjoy life,
to be a person full of gratitude.
Help me take time to love,
to extend my hand in service to those around me.
Lord, remind me to take time to learn,
to be disciplined and accountable.
Help me to make a difference in the
small and big moments of my life.
Lord, help me to keep smiling,
to be happy, and to try to be myself.
Lord, infuse me with your spirit
so I can create a life of balance,
moderation, and simplicity.
And whatever my challenge,
let it be an occasion to deepen my life’s purpose. Amen.
